ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I grew up in a modest unpretentious town in Kentucky.  Centrally located for unlimited adventures.

Nashville, Tennessee was a short drive and filled with opportunities for culture and adventures both physical and culinary.  St. Louis, Missouri was also not a major expedition.

I was very blessed my parents raised me with the gift of travel.  Fact is one of my earliest child hood memories is of standing on the shore of Lake Huron in Ontario, Canada.  Rolling up my pants legs to wade in the water.

I harbor no shame in classifying myself as a dreamer.  I loved reading.  I still do today.  I was fascinated by Newspapers and I made it my mission to purchase a Newspaper in the town I awoke in each day of my adventure.  This drove my parents insane.

I cherished our adventures.  Social Studies was my favorite subject.  I could relate to the places we studied.  I have awoken in the crisp Mountain air of Colorado.  I have witnessed Jackalope scurrying about in their natural surroundings.  I have stood before the Lincoln Memorial appreciating its immensity and feeling empowered by its symbolism.   One of my favorites is Niagara Falls.  I loved the adrenaline rush of over looking the Falls as the cool sea spray splashed against my skin.

I was twelve years old the first time I fell in love.  Washington D.C. I loved the energy of the city, the sweet scent of vanilla blended fresh croissants and bus exhaust as we strolled through downtown.  The history stored in the Smithsonian’s and the Library of Congress, notably the second largest library in the world.

Growing up my Parents’s were responsible for planning my adventures.  Typically they involved camping or staying with relatives.

By the time i reached college I began planning my own adventures often they were day trips, Mammoth Cave in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee and Grant’s Farm in St. Louis, Missouri.

Occasionally I would stretch my limits and go Camping in the Mountains of East Tennessee or Horse Back riding on the Beach in Florida.

I have lived in Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, Louisiana, Texas, North Carolina, and South Carolina.  I have called Florida my home for last 20 years and I live in the perfect location for day adventures and exploring Florida’s beauty and rich history.

I invite you to join me on my may adventures I guarantee you will never be bored.
