Most people hear Disney and think Theme Parks. Flooding their minds with memories of riding Space Mountain, Rockin Roller Coaster or the Kilimanjaro Safari. Personally I think exceptional service with the word no never being an option.
Disney has theme parks in California, Florida, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Shanghai. They even have their own cruise line. Many people are not aware that not only do they offer Adventures by Disney for worldwide ultimate vacations. They also have three beach resorts. They are located in Vero Beach, Florida, Aluani in Ko Olina, Hawaii, and Hilton Head South Carolina.
Disney’s Hilton Head Island resort is a part of the Disney Vacation club. This resort as with all Disney resort welcomes you home immediately upon arrival. You are greeted with fresh southern lemonade.
This resort is located on Broad Creek which is part of the salt water marsh. Activities and amenities are plentiful. There is a putting green to work in your golf game or just have some fun. In my case it’s a reminder that I seriously need golf lessons.
There are horseshoes, shuffleboard, a life sized checkerboard as well as many other activities. One that I was really excited about for an additional charge they do Kayak and Dolphin tours. The morning time one is called “Dolphins and Donuts”, this includes coffee and donuts.
There are a plethora of trails for bike riding, as well as a place for catch and release fishing and so much more. A pool table in the main lodge. There are also two quick service dining options. A shuttle offers transportation to their beach house.
There are many room options available with full kitchens to accommodate large groups and cooking for everyone. The pool has waterside loved by kids of all ages.
I am looking forward to my next opportunity to visit this spectacular resort. It offers what is my true meaning of Disney “family time” be it with the family you were born with or the family you have created with close friends. Disney’s Hilton Head resort is the perfect location for taking time out and slowing down the world.
